A little taste of October

Monday, October 29, 2012

Apparently October is a month of gifts (I love receiving gifts, especially from people I love, so this was a delightful surprise!).  My mom sent me this beautiful fall pumpkin from Pottery Barn.  I just love it!  This decoration exactly suits the kind of decorating that I like!  I am not really a hay bale type of fall decorator, so I love how classic but modern this mercury pumpkin looks.  You can also fill it with lights and see them twinkle through the not quite clear glass.  I cannot wait to try this!

In addition, Adam made me a lovely book about our blog!  It is full of some favorite posts and pictures.  A wonderful keepsake for many happy memories and the hope of many more to come!

On an unrelated to gifts note, we also attended our church's Fall Festival last night, where I received the "Most Chocolatey" award for my favorite homemade brownies.  I really wanted to win for some reason (I am not all that competitive, just ask Adam) and driving home with my prize in hand filled my heart with a ridiculous amount of delight.  I hope you are all enjoying the last week in October!
