Pushing the envelope

Every few weeks, I get a sudden urge to dress differently than I have been.  Trying a new combination of clothes keeps my closet exciting and fresh.  Almost a year ago, I saw a picture in a magazine (J. Crew, I think) where a dress shirt was layered underneath a cowel neck sweater.  It looked great in the photo, but I didn't know if I had the closet to support that kind of a look.  A few days ago, I tried it out. I still liked it by the end of the night and in my book, that is a success.

shirt: h&m; sweater: clothing swap; pearls: gift from my sister-in-law; bag: Ross; pants: plato's closet; shoes: Dillards

  1. Very cute! I like the idea of the cowel neck and a collar. And the dark burgundy and a pop of red are so fun!

By the way, if you can, you should make your images bigger so we can see the details even better. If you've switched to the new blogger interface, you should just be able to click on the picture when you're composing your post and it will give you different size options. Just a thought :)

    Love you!
