Twenty Weeks (!)

Starting to show just a little bit
shirt: old navy// jeans: kohl's// shoes: ross// necklace: francesca's

A few things about week 20.
- Most of my pants no longer fit.
- Comfort has become a serious priority and I am living in skirts, dresses and tees.
- Despite what everyone told me about pregnancy, I am still freezing almost all the time.
- I really need sleep these days.  I can sleep 8 1/2 hours at night and still take an hour long nap during the day.
- Baby clothes are currently way more fun to shop for than clothes for me!  They are so little and so cute!
- I can eat ice cream again!

Also, if you have any baby tips or pregnancy suggestions, I would welcome them!  I am still feeling like such a newbie and have no idea what kinds of baby equipment to buy or what kind of diapers to purchase, so please feel free to pass along any advice!

  1. I did notice the tiniest little bump on you at dessert the other night, you look so great! And you can eat ice cream again!

  2. Borrow everything you possibly can (since you only use it for a short time anyway). And garage sales are great for baby equipment too. And steal Ralphie's pink bouncer :)

I like Pampers for newborns and then I generally do Luvs.

    1. I am totally going to go to some garage sales! And I will be watching Craigslist for some good deals! We shall see what we find!

  3. I would like to echo what Janssen said about the Pampers and the borrowing. Definitely try to borrow some sort of infant chair or swing and one of those play mats with toys that hang over it (they sometimes call them "universities" - i think that's so clever!).

make sure you find a stroller that you are comfortable with. We do a lot of walking and the sidewalks in Pittsburgh are not friendly to strollers with small wheels so even though I would never ever go for a jog, we got a jogging stroller (with real, big wheels!) in addition to our stroller that our carseat easily snaps into (Graco click connect). We found the jogging stroller for $30 at a yard sale.

oh and I was freezing for most of my pregnancy until the 3rd trimester of course. luckily my 3rd trimester happily coincided with the polar vortex that swept the nation last winter.

    all the best, feel good!

    1. Lauren, thank you for the advice! I really need to find a good stroller! I am debating on getting a used one or buying a new one... we shall see! I don't want to get it quite yet, because they are kind of big and it will take up a lot of space in our very small apartment!
Glad to know I am not the only one who is freezing during pregnancy! I will be my most pregnant through the fall and into winter, and I am kind of grateful! I might actually be kind of warm sometimes this winter!

  4. The best thing I received at my baby shower was a Wipe warmer. :)

    1. I have never even heard of a wipe warmer, but it does sound like it would make life a lot more comfortable for a sweet baby! I will have to look into one of these!

    2. Oh my goodness! When you have to unbundle your little love from his warm clothing to change him, having a warm wipe ready really helps you make peace with a cold baby!! It was so helpful!!! :)

    1. Thank you! The bun has practically become a trademark of this summer! It is nice and cool and very fast and easy!
