Mrs. Meyers Contest! Eek!

So it has been pretty hard keeping this quiet, because I was SO DANG EXCITED ABOUT IT!

Remember how a few years ago, I wrote this post about how much I love Mrs. Meyer's cleaning products?  I had actually only used their countertop spray, but it became one of my favorite cleaning products ever and I have become a huge Mrs. Meyers fan over the last few years.

A few months ago, I saw a post over on Design Sponge about a "Mrs Meyer's Maker" contest that was running.  You had to make an instagram video that was 15 seconds long about something that you had created and how it inspired your family.  I really wanted to enter, so I enlisted Adam as my video expert and we created a little 15 second video about my beet ice cream, which you may have seen on Instagram.

A few weeks later, I got an email letting me know I was a semi-finalist for the competition! I was SOOOO excited and felt seriously inadequate!  Adam and I spent so many hours talking through how to answer the questions, what I should show in my video, prepping the DIY, filming, editing, making cake, etc.  It was a ton of work, but really fun!

My video has finally been posted along with the other semi finalists.  I would really appreciate it if you took a minute to go vote on the Mrs. Meyer's Maker page.  You can vote once a day until Feb 15th!  I would love your vote!

Just click here to get to the page!  I hope you like it!

This whole experience has been so incredible, and I would really appreciate your support!  Thank you!

  4. I have to say when I saw your Beet video-- I was very very impressed...but it makes much more sense now why it was so good (for the contest). This video for the contest was also really good. I loved how you used the tree branches for the cake stand. Very Clever. I've been voting for you :-)
