Peanut Butter Popcorn

Saturday, March 23, 2013

I  discovered this recipe while wandering through the Bon Appetit section on flipboard a week or so ago, and decided to try it out.  It is quite sweet, but oh so tasty!  And it has you putting peanut butter on popcorn!!!

Peanut Butter Popcorn
3 or 4 cups of air-popped popcorn (I popped it in a brown paperbag in the microwave, in case you don't have an air popper)

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 honey
1/4 cup peanut butter

Heat sugar and honey in a small saucepan until foamy, about 3 minutes.  Add the peanut butter and stir until heated through and smooth.  Spread popcorn out on a cookie sheet line with a silicone baking pad (or wax paper), and pour peanut butter mixture over the top.  (I went through the popcorn prior to pouring the peanut butter over the top, removing all the unpopped kernals so I didn't break a tooth... just a thought).  Wait until the mixture cools a bit and enjoy!!!  Happy Saturday!
