Pink

Monday, April 8, 2013

A few years ago, I painstakingly made a blouse out of the pink fabric of the blouse below.  It buttoned down the front and had a collar, and was really a nice idea.  But the fabric was much too fluid, and it always looked frumpy and ill-fitting... I altered it several times to see if I could get it to look better, but finally I gave up and gave it away.  I had quite a lot of the fabric left, and I really thought it would make a beautiful blouse, so 3 or 4 years ago, I decided to try again.  This time, I had a very successful run, and made the shirt you see below.  I love it.  It is soft looking, feminine and a nice light layering piece for any season.  It was also extremely easy to make, and I decided to do a tutorial on how to make it that will be posting later this week.  For now, happy Monday!
