Raiding My Sister's Closet: Transitioning to Spring

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

This time of year is the most difficult time for me to get dressed.  Fall has boots, tights and scarves that easily fall into my end of the summer wardrobe, but I get so excited for sandals and t-shirts come spring time, and in 30 degree weather that bounces up into the 60's and back every two or three days, it just isn't always practical to incorporate spring/summer clothes in.  So I threw together a floral with some subdued colors and a trench (which feels so very spring to me). We got to test out the cold-resistance of this outfit on Sunday when the temperature dropped back to the 30's and it was cold and windy.  I will be honest,  it was only so-so in the warmth department, but on a nicer day, it would have been very suitable. Plus, I love the mixing the dark with the light to prepare me for spring!

  1. I love that trench coat! I think that's the perfect transition piece! I'm going to have to invest in one(I never have a good spring coat that is acceptable to wear to church)!
