Bread Making Class in Provo!

Monday, June 27, 2016

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I have been contemplating doing a bread-making class.  I did one with a few friends in Austin before we moved out to Utah, and it was so much fun!

I have spent the last few weeks trying to work out details for doing a few in Utah, but with all the family activities and moving, I just barely got my act together to pick a date and post a few details about it!

If you are in the Provo area (or anywhere in Utah or Salt Lake Valley), I would be absolutely thrilled to have you come over to my house for the morning to bake with me!  Check out the details below and send me an email if you want to participate.

DETAILS for PROVO class:

I will be holding it on Saturday, July 16th from 11AM-2PM (approximately).

We will be making a delicious loaf of Italian Focaccia Bread (see the top photo).  You will get to sample a loaf that I make (and probably a few other homemade treats), and get your own loaf ready to take home and cook.  You will learn how to proof yeast, learn some kneading techniques, learn how to shape your loaf, and what toppings taste great on focaccia bread.  It is going to be awesome!

It will be held at my home in Provo (address will be emailed to you, after you sign up, but it is close to downtown Provo).

It will cost $10 to attend.  Last time I did a class, everyone had to bring their own everything, and it was pretty inconvenient.  This fee will cover all ingredients and most of the tools, you will only be asked to bring a few cooking tools with you (mixing bowl + cookie sheet, I think). Payments can be made via PayPal.

Please email me at measureandwhisk[at]gmail[dot]com to reserve your spot!  I can't wait to meet and get to cook with some of you!

Maximum capacity is 9 people, so if you are interested, sign up soon!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

*A quick note: If fewer than 2 people email me about this class, I may cancel it.

    1. Ahh! I am sorry! I have had a number of people who can't do that day, so I am thinking about trying for another one later in the summer.

  2. Darn it, I was looking forward to this! If you do end up holding a class on any other date I would love to come! I unfortunately have to help host a baby shower for my sister-in-law that day and don't think I could make it to Provo on time.

  3. Please hold another one! I live/work up in Ogden and July 16th is one of our busiest days at work as the city opens our ropes course to the public. An August class would be great!!
