About

Welcome to my little space on the internet!  I am really happy that you are here!  I am Landen, and I am married to Adam and we have a little boy that we call Fox (that isn't his real name, fyi). We are also expecting identical twin boys in December.  We are currently living in the Salt Lake City Area.

A little bit about my blog to get you started:

Food:  I am a self-taught cook, and have had many cooking triumphs over the last six years since I became a serious cook and my fair share of failures.  Here I share the triumphs, and the best of the best from my kitchen.  I am a sometimes vegetarian, and make a lot of baked goods.  I love in-season produce, and colorful food, but more often than not, you will catch me with a cookie or a slice of homemade bread in my hand over an apple.  You can find a gallery of all my recipes here, or in the side bar.

Here are a few of my all-time favorites recipes:

Thai Chicken Pizza
Brioche Praline
Sweet Chipotle Tacos
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
The Best Black Bean Soup
My Favorite Brownies

Minimalist Living:  I ventured into the realm of minimalist living about a year ago, and Adam and I have been making serious in-roads at living more mindfully, and getting rid of the things that no longer bring us joy.

A few posts about our journey:
15 items in 15 days challenge and report
Transforming a closet into a baby nursery
A minimalist's guide to packing for 7 weeks in Europe

My first series "The Minimalist Baby":
The Nursery
The Play Room
On The Go
The Kitchen
The Bathroom

Travel: In the summer of 2015, my husband, Fox and I spent 7 weeks in France for his job.  It was a dream come true, and I documented it pretty well on this blog.  I also wrote one of my favorite posts ever about French women, and why they are so great.

What is it about French Women?
What to know before you visit France
Paris (Part 1 and Part 2)
Chamonix and the Alps

My Vlog: I recently started making videos regularly about my life, cooking, and my baby.  You can check out these videos on my youtube channel, and subscribe!

I am thrilled that you are here, and hope to see you again soon!  You can also check out my Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest pages!

    1. Adam wants to teach for a living! He is an amazing French teacher (we actually met in his French class) and wants to teach higher level French courses.

    1. Thank you! I am 26, and got married almost 5 years ago. I know I look super young. I got mistaken as a 12 year old once at my job (maybe 3 or 4 years ago?). :)
