The Custom Job

Sunday, February 26, 2012

After a little over a month of waiting, it finally came: the custom dress shirt from shirtsmyway.com.
Behold, the story in illustrated format, as promised:

Inside the DHL envelope was a nice, matte white plastic bag:

That's pretty much what happened; except for the apparent lack of pants in illustrations 1 & 3...

The fabric is a little thinner than I had expected, but the texture and color are great; plus it's pretty easy to iron. The fit is exactly how I wanted it, and the workmanship on it is quite admirable.

Conclusion: It was a little more than I would normally spend on a dress shirt, but it was worth it. Customizable from the collar style down to the color of the thread used on the button holes, this is truly a shirt made my way.

I give it an A.
Wear it well,
Adam

  1. The little illustrations are ALMOST as excellent as your shirt.

  2. Well, they would be cooler, but it is a little difficult to draw on Microsoft Word...

  3. Abigail and I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures. She really liked the "eyes" and keeps talking about them. You look so handsome!

  4. Most excellent Adam. I do like the way it looks. I like cufflinks too. I don't know how to spell the short grunt of approval I do with a nod of my head, so I've just written that all out here.
