Raiding My Sister's Closet: Wardrobe Workhorse

shirt: h&m (similar) via ThredUp// pants: madewell via ThredUp// Shoes: DSW (similar)

The last few months, as I have been putting together a summer capsule wardrobe (I promise I will be showing the whole thing very soon!  The last pieces finally came in the mail on Saturday, so now I can photograph the whole thing!).

I have valiantly tried to make sure that every piece in my wardrobe is versatile and loved.  It has been surprisingly difficult.  I have been ordering a lot of pieces from ThredUp, which feels so eco-friendly, and they sell a lot of high quality brands, like Madewell.

These Madewell jeans have become an absolute closet staple.  I know that you are thinking, "But Landen, jeans are a staple in most everyone's closet."  That is true, but these are high waisted jeans, so they are somewhat of a statement piece.  And I absolutely adore them. I am wearing them about 3 times per week right now, and would probably wear them everyday if I didn't need to wash them on occasion.

They are great for a young mom like me, who spends a significant amount of time on the floor, reading and playing with my baby. They don't ride down like crazy in the back, and they go with everything!  Perfect mom jeans!

I am not a fan of wearing shorts, so a cropped pair of jeans is nice for the summer.  I am always surprised at what a difference the missing 3 inches makes.

Madewell jeans have my heart, and if I could afford to buy their jeans full price I totally would.  For now, I will stick to scouring ThredUp. If you click through on this link, you can get $10 off your first order!

P.S. This post isn't sponsored by ThredUp, I have just had a really good experience with them, and really like the clothes I have purchased from there!  If you are in the market for new, used clothes, this is a great place to start looking!  I do get $10 off my next order if you purchase through my link, so consider yourself warned :)
