Raiding My Sister's Closet: Dressing for the Fourth

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

You have probably had that moment where you put on a potentially cute outfit, looked in the mirror to find that that you look like an American Flag... Well, today we are presenting a few outfits that involve red, white, and blue, but don't scream patriotic. Wish me luck.

Outfit 1: Adam said this outfit looked kind of punky...?  I think it was the lace sleeves.  I thought it looked like a very classy 4th of July outfit. Don't you agree? It is a touch too fancy for your standard BBQ, but maybe you are going out to dinner and then to watch fireworks somewhere romantic?  If not, keep scrolling.

lace shirt: forever 21; polka dot top: banana republic (similar); skirt: downeast basics (similar); shoes: Zara; earrings: forever 21; belt: banana republic(similar);  bracelet: gift from Adam

Outfit 2: Clearly living in Texas is getting to me, because you could potentially wear this to a rodeo, however it is also fun, feminine and perfect for popsicles, parades and a BBQ.

hat: bass; earrings: aeropostle (similar); shirt: clothing swap (similar); jeans: kohl's (shop jeans); shoes: paris
