Raiding My Sister's Closet: Summery Pink

Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Ah, pink.  One of my favorite colors of summer.  Ironically, I have very few clothes that reflect my love and respect for pink.  So few, in fact, that when Janssen, Merrick and I decided to do this post, I had to make the skirt that I am wearing in order to have something I was willing to take to Europe with me (I would love for you to follow along here or on my instagram). After all, I only brought a small percentage of my actual closet with us and couldn't afford to bring something that I wouldn't actually enjoy wearing.

I had this pretty fabric sitting around, and Merrick'sawesome tutorial to follow, and it ended up being a success.  One of the great things about this skirt is that the pleats are so large, and the waist is so high that even in flat shoes, it makes my legs look extremely long.

shirt: forever 21// scarf: old navy// skirt: made by me (tutorial here)// shoes: GH Bass// Sunglasses: a gift

Now I can be seasonally stylish in my rose pink midi-skirt.  Are you loving pink this season?
