Green Blazer and Kate Spade

Friday, November 7, 2014

Oh, this jacket.  I could talk about it all day long.  I think it is the most gorgeous piece in my closet right now.  Wool, dark green and a perfect fit.  I am obsessed.  I honestly love J. Crew, so it should come as no shock that my favorite piece of clothing currently is from there.  Also, I have been thinking a lot about filling my closet with high quality clothing that will last a long time and still be stylish.  This jacket has just about made me decide to do it.  I will keep you posted on if I actually do it or not.  I am hoping I will be able to convince myself to do it. Have any of you done something similar?  I have seen a few people in the blogging world paring down their closets to their favorite items and people say great things about it, but somehow, I am scared.

Twenty-Two Weeks

- Wednesday marked twenty-two weeks for this little dude.  I can't believe we are over the half-way mark already!  According to the app on my smartphone, he is 11" long!
- I can feel him moving regularly.  He really likes music and almost anytime we listen to something with a beat, I feel regular flailing from him.  A few days ago, Adam went on a Michael Jackson kick and we listened to a few songs and baby was going wild during them!  We think he likes to dance.
- I am finally looking pretty pregnant (see photo above for proof).  It totally depends on what I am wearing, but it is fun to see my body change to make way for a baby!
- I still marvel at how little I am participating in the making of this little human!  I don't have to think about him forming, or strain to create fingernails and eyelashes.  It just happens.  Sure, I need to make sure I eat enough and drink lots of water, but my body is doing all the forming on its own.  It is AMAZING!  And absolutely a miracle that it all forms to make a tiny human.
- I had an unexpected windfall the other day.  I am not fitting into too many of my clothes these days, but don't really want to go out and buy a ton of maternity clothes, and a friend sent me a message that the teenage girls from church had just finished a clothing swap activity and that there were tons of things left over!  Hallelujah!  I now have quite a few darling pieces to wear throughout pregnancy and beyond! This addition to my closet will make for a much cuter pregnancy :)
- December really can't come quickly enough!  I am SO excited for this baby to join our lives!

Happy Friday!
