There is something about the heat of the summer that makes me crave tee shirts and jeans. Unfortunate when you have a fashion blog, that makes for a lot of boring outfits, especially because layering in 90% humidity is no fun at all. This jacket is my concession. Light, colorful and great if it is a bit nippy indoors (which if you are freezing all the time like me, it almost always is). I also had to try out this new shirt with this skirt, because they just seemed to fit together.

Pattern Mixing 1.0
Tuesday, January 28, 2014
Since pattern-mixing came into style, my wardrobe has gotten so much more interesting. I just love the polka-dot/stripe combos floating around the internet and the floral and chevrons. Here is part one of two pattern mixing outfits I have put together lately!
Pattern mixing

Don't you just love all the pattern mixing that is going on right now! I figured I would jump on that band wagon. Here are 3 examples of pattern mixing from my closet! Not revolutionary perhaps, but I tried out a few different looks just for you! I am kind of obsessed with the outfit on the left (also featured here). I was absurdly happy that I have 3 different prints in the same outfit. Sometimes, it's the little things... I also had to make a conscious effort not to wear a skirt in all three of these photos. It's like I can't pattern mix without a print skirt. Or I just can't not wear a skirt in a blog post.
I also don't know if you could get much whiter than my face in these photos... Yikes!
Happy Thursday!
